About Bier Maps

Bier Maps is a curated guide to Hawaii craft breweries, brewpubs, and taprooms — where to drink local beer, what to try first, and what kind of stop to expect.

The problem

Hawaii has a small-but-real craft beer scene — more than a dozen breweries scattered across four islands. Yelp lists each one like any restaurant. Google Maps shows a pin. Neither tells you what they're known for, what's on tap, or whether they're even open this afternoon. We're fixing that.

How we build the guide

  1. We start with public info — brewery websites, social, official listings — to seed each entry with hours, flagship beers, and styles.
  2. We turn that source material into consistent guide notes: start-here beers, style focus, local ingredient signals, and taproom context.
  3. A human verifies each entry by visiting or contacting the brewery before it's marked confirmed.
  4. Brewers can claim their page and send corrections whenever hours, beers, ingredients, events, or taproom details change.

Are you a brewer?

If we have your brewery listed and something's wrong, email contact@islandandpine.com with the correction and we'll update within 48 hours.

Want to claim your page and clarify your hours, beer lineup, ingredients, tasting notes, and tap-takeover announcements? See our brewer page.

Coming soon

The next layer of the guide will track what's on tap, at which bars, on which dates — pulling tap-takeover announcements and rotating beer lists from brewery and venue posts. Today is the guide foundation; richer tap-list coverage lands next.
