Big Island's oldest brewery lineage, tracing back to Mehana Brewing (founded 1996 in Hilo), later consolidated as Hawai'i Nui Brewing in 2009, and most recently operating as Hilo Brewing Co. Closed in 2025 following the passing of co-owner and brewing pioneer Ron Jeffries in late 2024.
